A2L Refrigerant Handling

A2L Refrigerant Handling

Thursday, September 19, 2024 (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

608 EPA Certification is required before taking this class.

About the Class:

The A2L Refrigerant Handling is a one-day course that covers the proper handling and recovery procedures for both A2L and hydrocarbon refrigerants.

As the HVACR industry evolves, HFCs such as R-410A and R-404A are being phased down in favor of new, more energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly lower-GWP refrigerants, such as R-32, R-454B, and Hydrocarbon refrigerants R290.

Unlike the last refrigerant transition, which shifted from one nonflammable refrigerant to another, many of these new refrigerants are mildly flammable (A2L), so additional training will be needed to use them safely.
